Niagara Falls


The Niagara Falls are 17 miles north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles south-southeast of Toronto, Ontario or between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York. It is composed of two major sections, the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side of the border and the American Falls on the United States side. The falls is known to be the source of hydroelectric power in the area.

Among the Niagara Falls attractions are the Aquarium of Niagara, the Conference Center Niagara Falls, the Daredevil Museum, the Flight of Angels, the Haunted House, the Niagara Aerospace Museum, the Niagara’s Wax Museum of History, the Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours, the Seneca Niagara Casino, the Smokin Joes Family Fun Center, the Thrill Ride Niagara, and the Thunder Theater/JD Gifts.

Time management is important when visiting especially those traveling with the whole family. There are a lot of things to do here. The State Park itself is quite big and takes a lot of riding and walking. A must-see places are the Cave of the Winds, the Goat Island, the Luna Island, the Maid of the Mist Boat Tour, the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, the Niagara Scenic Trolley, the Observation Tower, the Prospect Point, the Terrapin Point, the Three Sisters Islands, and the Niagara Visitor Center’s Niagara: Legends of Adventure Movie.

Gifts and souvenir shops are all over the area. You may purchase your gifts and souvenirs at Daredevil Museum, Falls Side Cafe & Souvenirs, Honeymoon Capital Souvenirs, Maid of the Mist Giftshop, Souvenirs at the Pointe, Three Sisters Trading Post, Thunder Theater/JD Gifts, Top of the Falls Giftshop and World Duty Free. There are also choices of fabulous restaurants. Take your pick of places like the Hard Rock Cafe, Bada Bean, Denny’s at Days Inn, Donatello’s, Kohinoor at Econo Lodge, Legends Bar and Grill, Misty Dog, Old Falls Grill at Crowne Plaza, Peppertree at Sheraton, and the Punjabi Dhaba to name a few.

Come for the view at Skylon Tower, Niagara’s most famous landmark and enjoy the breath-taking views of the Falls, Niagara Gorge, dazzling cityscape and the Toronto & Buffalo skylines. Admission to ride and observation decks are free when dining. The Skylon offers two levels of fine dining. One is the Revolving Dining Room. Here, lunch or dinner is rivaled only by the view. You can relax and enjoy the food as the room revolve silently 360 degrees once each hour. Dine by night and you’ll discover the magic created by the Falls illumination and dazzling city lights below. The other is the Summit Suite Buffet Dining Room which is family affordable. You can also go for the games at Niagara’s largest amusement center with hi-tech interactive games and rides for all ages but don’t miss Niagara’s best new attraction The Falls 3D/4D movie ‘Legends of Niagara Falls.’

They also have fireworks show at 10:00 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
