New York City is the largest city in the United States and one of the largest urban areas in the world. • Empire State Building

• Statue of Liberty

Open 365 days a year, the Top of the Rock is something that you should not miss.

• Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center is the favorite place for both New Yorkers and tourists. Admission is free here. If you love shopping, the center has some signature shops to hop around. They have an ice skating rink and a music hall that seats 6,000 crowds.

• Central Park

The Central Park is an 843-acre oasis that offers both residents and tourists a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is so much to see here and do here. You can stroll along the Mall, take a rowboat ride on the lake or play softball game. The choice is yours.

• Times Square

You’ll find all sorts of fun when visiting Time Square because this place has it all. You’ll find here a wide array of dining and food options, entertainment, shopping and nightlife. An exciting and vibrant place to visit, events and attractions here are endless.

• United Nations

The United Nations in New York City is an international territory belonging to the member countries. Its main purpose is to maintain peace, protect rights of the people, and promote development throughout the world. You will see here 192 waving flags of member countries in front of the UN buildings. It is located in First Avenue between 42^nd and 48^th Streets.

• Rose Center for Earth & Space

The Rose Center for Earth & Space is an 87-foot sphere which appears to float in a glass-walled cube. It now houses the new Hayden Planetarium which features the technologically advanced Space Theatre in the world. This brand new state-of-the-art center will take you from the inner workings of our planet to the outer limits of the galaxy. It is located in Central Park West at 81^st Street.

• Metropolitan Museum

The Metropolitan Museum is NYC’s grand museum. You will see here the art of mankind from ancient Egypt through the Renaissance to American masters. Discover each of the museum’s section. There is also a wing in the museum devoted to the art of Africa, the Pacific Island and others. If you love art you should visit this place. It is located in 1000 Fifth Avenue and 82^nd Street.

• Intrepid Museum

The Intrepid Museum features the superstructure of the seas. Named after the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier which was commissioned for service in World War II, it is now a national historic landmark. The museum features a range of interactive exhibits and events that makes this superstructure a snapshot of heroism, education and excitement. . It is located in Pier 86 along the Hudson River at 46^th Street.

• South Street Seaport

South Street Seaport, located in 12-14 Fulton Street between Water & South Streets, is a galore of restaurants and shops. It is a historic district and a living museum. Inside you will see ship models, prints and paintings. Outside, you can either tour the boat building shop or take a tour of the vessel Peking, a historic ship, an enjoy a spectacular views of the New York Harbor.

• Ground Zero

Ground Zero is the place we are all familiar with. It is a historical landmark that is hard to miss. Your visit to New York City will never be complete without getting a glimpse of the Ground Zero. Redevelopments are still underway and five new towers are expected to be complete by 2011 and 2012. A tribute World Trade Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM and from 12:00Noon to 6PM every Sunday. There is a one-hour guided tour for a $10.00 donation.

• Ellis Island

Ellis Island is a historical landmark that traces the immigrant roots of over 100 Americans. It serves as the repository of the memories and heritage of the 12 million immigrants that entered the United States through this island between 1892 and 1954. The island’s Immigrant Museum offers visitors a chance to see what coming to America meant.
