Atlantic City in New Jersey is home to luxurious casino hotels and resorts, world-class entertainment, spas, nightlife, fine dining, boardwalk, golf, fun attractions, fishing, water sports and shopping. Day and night, you’ll find fast-paced excitement and non-stop activities here.

The city is known for its boardwalk which is said to have been made to keep the sand off of the luxurious hotel carpets and not to make the place famous. It is indeed a good idea since it makes walking more convenient. You’ll find the boardwalk’s favorite vehicles here — the rolling chairs and bicycles — especially in the summer. The boardwalk is quite a stretch of approximately 2 miles beginning at the North end of the boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue.

Here, you will find the Showboat Hotel and Casino and just beyond that is the Garden Pier, home to the Atlantic City Historical Museum and Art Center. A few blocks from the museums is Michigan Avenue where you will find the original site of the Iron Pier, later known as the Heinz Pier.

Straight ahead are the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Steel Pier, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum, the Central Pier, Claridge Tower, Bally’s Atlantic City, Wild Wild West Casino at Bally’s, Ceasars and much much more.

You will also find strolling in the boardwalk more enjoyable as you get to see the great view of the ocean, the birds and people walking. There are also souvenir stores and specialty shops along the boardwalk lining in between luxurious casino hotels.

It is also great to shop here. The Atlantic City Outlets features well-known retail outlets like Bass, Banana Republic, Nautica, Gucci, Ann Taylor to name a few. The outlets offer big discounts too, which in some cases as much as 70%.

It has beautiful white sandy beaches too. The beach is a perfect place to unwind or just chill out.

Nightlife and entertainment here will also leave you wanting for more. At its famous Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City’s premier entertainment center, you’ll find great shows of many of today’s top stars.
