Annapolis is a city in the United States and the capital of the State of Maryland. It is situated at the mouth of the Severn River which flows into the famous Chesapeake Bay.

The city’s main attractions are the historic Maryland State House and the United States Naval Academy. The State House, built in 1772, is the oldest in continuous legislative use in the United States. The United States Naval Academy is an undergraduate college that educates and commissions officers of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
Visitors can see sailboats of every description in its famous City Dock.
The City Dock is the heart of historic downtown Annapolis. Here, you will see pleasure boaters showing off their boats as they cruise.
There are also restaurants lining up in the dock area. The site of the city’s summer band concerts is the adjacent waterside park and at the end of the dock is a plaque that commemorates the 1767 arrival of Kunta Kinte, Alex Haley’s African ancestor as told in the book “Roots.”
Visitors can also dine and shop at Main Street. Main Street offers a wide selection of stores offering designer clothes, fine jewelries, antiques and souvenir items.
Walk all the way up Main Street and you will find Church Circle and St. Anne’s Church.
